COVID-19 has dramatically changed the practice of dentistry. State boards have had to make tough calls on decisions that affect their constituents’ livelihoods in significant ways. Now that some of the bigger calls have been made to combat the coronavirus, we’re starting to see some states offer assistance and leniency with respect to licensing and CE requirements. States like California and New Jersey have extended grace periods for CPR and BLS education. Others, recognizing the constraints of COVID-19, are allowing more online CE this year in place of the traditionally accepted live CE. To help Composite CE users, we have sought out as much state-specific info as we could gather with links to either a state board or links to documents with info about the changes. Please be advised some states haven’t made changes or we were unable to verify, so check with your local board for clarification.
