When to go to Hawaii is really a matter of personal preference. Want to take advantage of time off around the holidays, or get away from the cold? December through March is high season in Hawaii and the rates will reflect that. If you’ve got more flexibility with your and your family’s schedules, you can find great deals in late spring and early fall. Or, if you’re tied to home because of the kids’ school schedules, you may have to join other families and travel in summertime. Whenever you decide to go, make sure you allow at least half of your days there to be free so that you have the option to explore more of the islands. All work and no play is no fun!
